Wish list record only in favorites

     Hi

Just getting to grips with Media center now, and over comming some small issues!

One I cant find any information about is how to limit the "wish list" record searches to a group of favorite channels.

At the moment I search for "Formula 1"  and it finds radio programs, and programs on TV channels I am not interested in!

I have my "regular" TV channels grouped in a "favorite" list, which I display on the Guide.

Can I restrict searches to only look in this favorite group?

    Thanks

You can restrict to one specific channel (it's one of the options in the Series Info screen), but you cannot choose from a number of channels. It's one only or all.

You could also try restricting the series to Sports/Motor Sports and see if that helps. But ultimately F1 has never worked well in the guide, and I find it worse in 7MC than I did with MCE2005.

Just remember, there is us and the world. Media Center can't be everything to everyone. I see your idea and yes, it's a good one but, just like other features bring it up again at another time it might make it into Windows 8 MC....

At least you can upgrade if your using MC as a primary DVR, try to do that with a cablebox or Tivo...

Yes i agree, as I said its a Love/hate relationship.

Just upgraded from a topfield TF5800 which with those wonderful TAPS, particularily "My Stuff" which made a superb PVR, so I have been spoilt.

Changed to a PC based system, as wanted HD satelite integration, and now in UK there is talk of changing DTV to DVB-T2 standard, so  imposible to keep up with hardware changes any other way!!

I just find Media center so unfriendly and lacks any customisation, it just ticks the "adequate" boxes Confused.

    Best regards
