Crying [:'(] INTELLIPOINT INSTALLATION, LAPTOP, MOUSE ISSUES, TOUCHPAD ISSUES, CANT INSTALL AND INSANITY ISSUES

MY DOGS DON'T LIKE ME ANYMORE THEY SAY I'M NO FUN SO PLEASE HELP

One thing leads to another.  i wanted to disble touchpad because using it was ending up with stuff getting erased after i typed it and it was because of touch pad.  Now I have figured how to toggle touchpad butt that means i need a mouse.  so Starts out my mouse doesn't smooth scroll at all but huge gaps instead, very choppy.  I've been trying for over a month to figure out the problem.  I have no controls about this, the options don't list it other than possibly listing to enable it and i'm not sure about that i've looked at this so often and so many ways my memory is going/burned up.
Anyway so i think is it the mouse, blah blah.  But now i'm thinking it might be that when I installed Intellipoint that I got an error doing it so maybe thats the problem.  Okay.

So I figure to reinstall intellipoint but i can't do that until i uninstall the mouse too but i can't uninstall the mouse because it says its running but i'll be darned if i know where, its unplugged and worthless.

So I can't reinstall intellipoint until i delete the old intellipoint but it won't let me until I do something with the mouse and I can't do the mouse because its supposedly running.

Can't do this till you do that, and basically I'm going nuts, how can I close a running mouse program?

I have been at this for so long and am so frustrated its all running together in my head until i can't remember what i did when to who.

    PLEASE HELP.

Doing a system restore would be the easiest.

If that's not an option, enable your touch pad, uninstall the mouse software you installed and restart the laptop.  Plug-in your mouse and then disable your touch pad again.

Your mouse should be ready to use without installing any software for it (the KiSS rule: keep it simple, stupid) the default mouse software in Vista is adequate (unless you got a 5 button mouse or something). Default scrolling is 3 lines, but you may change that with the wheel tab of your mouse properties.

You could also adjust (reduce) your touch pad's sensitivity to avoid false gestures.

btw: Please avoid using all caps, it's annoying to read.
