Be aware that there are some issues with the TBS cards in TVS v2. They've obtained a card and are actively working on it. As soon as it's fixed, I'm buying! But for now, I'm stuck with one Nova S2.

... and I've gotta update my webpage TVsource v2. Dont know how you found the changeover Tony, but I actually preferred how TV Source v1 worked, especially in terms of managing 2 channels into one. There's a really odd icon you click on when updating one source to "mirror" the other soource which is, how shall I say, the opposite of intuitive!

But happy that UAC is now sorted in v2.

    Richard.

    Hi Richard,

I've not found the changeover too bad - I installed Win7 Ultimate x64 on a freshly formatted partition, and have used that - there are parts that I didn't really like about v1, and the same about v2, but I'm used to working with what's available! It does take a little to get used to, but I find it just as reliable as V1 on my setup, and since the missus keeps moaning if I change the setup, it'll have to stop for a while ;-)

My main problem, is guide data, I use digiguide to supplement MS EPG data - some days the guide data is present for all channels, other days, some channels (for example recently ITV1HD and Channel4 HD) are missing - they are still selected in DG, and they appear to be in the files for Big Screen EPG to upload... yet other channels are working fine... some days I just hate these little puzzles that are sent to test us ;-)

     Hi,

yep, I'll be looking to buy some soon - rather then buying extenders, just going for additional small media pcs... Thank God for WHS and its archiving facilities

Tony, re your guide data: I'm pretty much doing the same thing but only for channels when MS guide data was not present, ie the HD channels, some +1 channels, some children's ones and ITVHD, BBC HD etc. Mine are set like yours, digiguide via BSEPG, to be imported on a schedule. I found some oddities alright, e.g. after the recent MS update for media center I had "air crash investigation" showing as the next program on Nick Jr! I had to manually go back in and select the listing source again as the digiguide version and not the MS version. Perhaps MS updates may cause some listing sources to be set back to default?

Also I assume you're aware of the "no program data" difference to "no data available" message in the guide. "no program data" is the Digiguide content and that indicates that the feed is working but there's nothing on at those times (which for ITVHD is appx 20 hours out of 24!)

    Richard.

Re: United kingdom SKY Encryted Channels using CAM

At the moment I've got no BSE installed after a reformat two weeks ago. I decided to try to use the TVS XML importer but it's rubbish - often no details other than the program names - no ratings, no HD tags and no summary. So I'm reinstalling BSE this week and I might give their new webguide app a go. But when I did have BSE installed I used it for *all* channels - I completely sidestepped the MS guide data. Mainly so I could get the TV show 'album art' (god knows why these things matter to me!) on all channels. I found that this gave significantly less issues with program names ('the' at the beginning of a program title for example) where I had MS data for one channel and BSE/DG data for the +1.

    Hi,

just checked, I'm seeing "no data available" for the channels - and I've gone through the channel setup in the guide, and re-chosen the epg data, but these also show no data available :-(

Re: United kingdom SKY Encryted Channels using CAM

Hi again, nice to see this thread has helped alot of people. I have been running my Sky Cam on Dreambox now since the thread started and so far here is what I can report I now use Tvsource 2.01 (Much better than the original config) ALso the Ccam 2.1.3 does not keep the Sky White cards alive as mine has expired twice now. I get about 3 months of entitlements. The worst part to all of this is the Channel EPG. Even now it does strange things and the guide data is rubbish sometimes. I use the XMLGUI to download the data but to get it to show you have the select each channel. ( Only had to do this once) Other than that I still say its worth it. The Extenders work great and now that WHS has TV archive I can reduce the Drives in the MCE Main machine. Also the best function ever on the My Movies for WHS Archive your DVD's and enable them to play on Xbox Extenders. Maybe one day someone will bring all these things together, but TBH I dont think I would want that, as I enjoy tweaking and setting up the MCE nitemare. :) Wife on the other hand cant live without it, but OMG help us when it decides to fail :/

    Hi,

not had chance to sort it yet - been rather busy :-(

The channels I see this on are, Channel 4 HD, ITV1 HD, DMAX+1, Rural TV.  Guide data for these, are all delivered from Digiguide, so should be available.  Its a strange issue, in that when I go to assign the EPG data to the channel, I don't see the channel name expected in the list of available channels (which leads me to believe that its already attached...), if only there was a sure fire way of checking, then at least I could try and narrow down where the problem is occurring.

There are some other peculiarities, for example, Virgin1, I get via freeview and also Encrypted Sky - for some reason, MC won't allow me to change the guide details away from the Freeview delivered EPG data, same happens on Home and one other, but can't remember which...

CCcam 2.1.3 and the newer 2.1.4 do update entitlements, you just may not have it set up correctly. The easiest way is to have a sat feed running to the 500 and have it on an encrypted channel. Entitlements update to a maximum of 60 days ahead so all you need do is once a month leave the 500 on an encrypted channel overnight. You also need this line in your cccam.cfg file: DISABLE EMM : no

    What an idiot I am

Of course the card can not update i dont have the Satalite cable plugged into the DreamBox.

I have a spare Cable that is connected to the LNB so this should be an easy job.Huh?

I will enable the config on the CCCam .
